The pain we feel when we lose love ones is not seen. It might be seen those first few moments after the immediate death, when the professional well wishers gather to do the required business of consolation. It might be seen when the corpse is lowered six feet. Yes, it might be seen within this period. But, what of after this period, when the professional consolers have gone home and must have forgotten about the dead? Thus, certainly move on with Business as Usual. This is the period we know those who really miss the dead. This is the period of intermittent somber moment; period of secret tears in our lonely rooms, secret vacuum in our heavy hearts, secret wishes in our empty soul, secret prayers in our bended knees, secret longing in the deep recess of our emotions.  In this period of secrecy no one sees our pain; no one shares this unexplainable burden, no one but those who truly miss the dead feel this hollowness. The hollowness that creates a vacuum, the vacuum that creates wishes, wishes that births realization. Realization of the fact, the dead are simply irreplaceable.
This hard truth makes the pain of losing a loved one a life time pain.
Have you ever felt like doubting the existence of GOD? Have you ever felt like challenging that Man up there to a duel of words? Have you ever said this three weighty words, GOD why her, GOD why him? Or have you ever said this four painful words with hot tears in your eyes, GOD why my mother, GOD why my father?  Believe me if you have, then you are a life member of an unenviable club. A club whose insignia is secret pains.  A club whose mantra is, GOD why?
The pain of losing a loved one is biting, it is devastating and it is truly within. It is a pain we guard jealously, a pain we do not want to let go. The pain is a cross we carry with joy in memory of our loved ones. The pain is an emptiness we cannot feel. It is the only vacuum nature has forgotten to abhor.
